About

Stage Rush Music

StageRushMusic.com is the passion project of Jared Kent Miller, a veteran concert photographer, music reviewer, and lifelong devotee of live and recorded sound. With decades of experience behind the lens and in the heart of the music scene, Jared created StageRushMusic.com as a home for his ongoing work — capturing the raw energy, emotion, and chaos of the stage through both photography and in-depth concert reviews.

Jared’s journey began in the mid-1980s while studying in New York, photographing bands at Brooklyn’s iconic metal venue, L’Amour. He went on to become one of the house photographers at CBGB, the legendary epicenter of punk rock in Manhattan. During this time, Jared also worked as a band manager and club promoter, first in Los Angeles, then New York City, immersed in the underground rock world that shaped his style and voice.

Specializing in hard rock, heavy metal, punk, and alternative rock, Jared’s photographs have appeared in magazines, album covers, record label marketing campaigns, music documentaries, and even in the pages of Japan’s renowned jazz publication Swing Journal, for whom he was the official U.S. concert photographer.

In addition to current show coverage, there will be Album Reviews — Spotlighting new releases by currently touring bands, offering insight into how today’s records translate to the live stage.

With StageRushMusic.com, Jared returns to his roots — documenting the pulse of the live music scene and sharing stories through the camera lens and the written word. Whether you’re a fan, musician, or fellow photographer, this site is a tribute to the spirit of live music: loud, unfiltered, and unforgettable.
